Until this last day tourin on the London old-timer bus, we have passed 400 km. I hope you enjoyed it and didn’t get tired so you will be able to enjoy in the program for this last day.

After having breakfast in the hotel ’’Norcev’’, we move on to the town of Sremska Mitrovica. It is the classical city known as Sirmium in the period of Roman imperie. Six Roman emparers were born there. During the reigh of Galerie in the year 293. Sirmium was the capital city. While digging the basement at a new department store, a worker found 33 golden coins of the great value. Unfortunately the man didn’t get any reward. Believe it or not the man’s name was Zlatenko (Golden man)! And that was a true story.

After sightseeing around the excavation site of ’’Sirmijum’’ we are leaving to ’’Zasavica’’ a special nature reservation, 20 km away from Sremska Mitrovica. The reservation is situated on the right bank of the river Sava. Recently there have been made some improvement in preserving the area and at the same time it is accessible to the tourists.

It is interesting that Zasavica is the only residence of the beavers in Srebia and that Umbra fish lives only here. After the boat ride across Zasavica, we organize lunch in an unusual cabin restaurant, where the passangers will be able to taste specialities made of domestic swine ’’Mangulica’’. There’s no cholesterol in that meat! And of course our trip won’t end without music and songs, this time there’ll be tamburitza players from Srem.
